The brand new 2025 REV RAM 1500 Ramcharger is an absolute beast beneath the hood, combining the instant power of a battery with the reliability of mechanical power. A 92kWh battery couples with a 130kw generator for instant electric power, boosted by the presence of a 3.6L Pentastar engine. The 1500 keeps the solid good looks that have made it popular since 2018, with a spacious bed to the rear operated by a convenient power tailgate.  

The Ramcharger offers an impressive output with 663 horsepower that delivers a best-in-class range of 690 miles. There’s 615 lb-ft torque, a 0-60 speed of 4.4 seconds, and power that translates into a maximum payload of 2,625lb, plus a towing capacity of 14,000lb.

An Electric Powertrain to Rival Traditional Diesel Trucks

The Ramcharger has an innovative combination of mechanical power and an efficient electric battery, ideal for those who are reluctant to opt for a fully electric truck. However, although there’s a 3.6L engine, the Ramcharger isn’t technically a plug-in hybrid.

This is because the engine isn’t used to directly power the truck wheels. Instead, the cylinders direct juice to the onboard generator, which in turn converts mechanical power into electrical output. This same generator is also capable of ramping up the power to the gearbox or motor when there’s heavy-duty demand, giving drivers the ultimate control.
